But I can also see where having too much Buffett make alienate newer cruisers and -- let's face it -- younger and more diverse passengers. The classic Buffett audience is aging; Jimmy's songs may seem timeless, but most were released in the 1970s. Far smarter to focus on margaritas and parrots and palm trees, and keep the yacht rock to a minimum.
Cabin – My ocean view cabin (E101) on deck 7 was larger than cabins I have been in on many of the mainstream cruise lines. I found it interesting that cruise lines built larger showers on cruise ships in 1987 than they do today. The cabin had a flat screen TV, plenty of storage space, and one 110 power outlet by the desk. Also keep an eye out for Black Friday deals toward the end of each year.

Food on Margaritaville at Sea Paradise has some highlights, although you might have to step away from the crowded Port of Indecision buffet to find them. While you'll pay extra for an entire pie at Frank & Lola's pizza counter, slices with fairly standard toppings like pepperoni are complimentary -- and quite tasty. You might also be able to take advantage of resident rates (if you live in Florida), military discounts or kids sail free promotions. For fabulous food, ask a local to point you in the direction of their favorite restaurant, and head off the beaten path to try some conch fritters (fried conch meat) and peas with rice. For dessert, don't miss the semi-sweet bread-style Johnny cakes. The Oasis is an adults only area in the front of the ship that was never more than half full and is the perfect place to kick back and relax.
When you go for one of the largest, most luxurious rooms — and balcony — available on Carnival Paradise, you get a room designed to suit your desire for comfort, inside and out.
